Meet Anna
Anna Howes Gebhardt
Somatic Coach & Educational Consultant
Hi My name is Anna. I have been teaching in early childhood settings since 1997. In that time I have enjoyed supporting my colleagues by teaching educators through multiple professional development opportunities including trainings in executive functioning, curriculum development, and family engagement starting in 2011.
I have a rich background that not only encompasses my work as an early educator but has also branched into statewide early childhood advocacy, community organizing, global grassroots social justice events, and trauma informed facilitation. My training and degrees include an associates in early childhood education, American Montessori Society 3-6 teacher training, ChildLight children’s yoga instructor, and a four year degree in Brennan Healing Science. This past year I completed training as a mind-body coach implementing somatic practices for self-regulation.
I believe that children are best served when the adults in their lives are acting from a regulated nervous system that is whole and centered. Therefore each of my trainings is uniquely designed to include practices such as active listening, mind/body awareness, breath work, guided meditations, goal setting, and brainstorming solutions. As well as healing techniques and guidance to release and heal patterns that are no longer serving your growth as an educator.

Only two classes in and I already have strategies that I’m excited to apply in the classroom.
Anna fosters a very inviting environment where I feel supported in sharing my experience and asking questions!

Anna was thorough. She gave real life examples and took her time. She asked us if we had questions before moving on to the next module.
I enjoyed this workshop because of Anna’s style of teaching. I hope to learn from her again.
